Dabhol is a place situated around 130 kms. from Mumbai and Pune as mentioned in the book by the author.
In ancient days, Dabhol was called as Amravati. An ancient temple called Dalbheshwar also stands till date. According to the ancient epics and writings, a deity staying in forests called 'Dabhya' and according to it came the name 'Dabhol' or it might have been derived from name of sage Dalabhya. There were numerous names for Dabhol in ancient period like Dalabyapuri, Dalabhyavati, Mahikvati, Multafbad and has a history of nearly 2000 years.
