Marathwada comprises of Aurangabad, Nanded, Beed, Parbhani and Osmanabad. The book consists of research findings divided into three periods i.e. Ancient period, medieval period and the post medieval i.e. modern period.
Author presents the historic bag background of Marathwada where an ancient detail about the trade routes, highways, and development is given. 2nd article has the sculptures of Marathwada describing about the carving styles of the Vakatak and Rashtrakut kingdoms; along with description of few cities like Paithan, Ambe, Dharmapuri and Charthana.
