Sardar Naroshankar Rajebahaddur was a brave and able soldier in Peshwa regime, where tenure was 1706 to 1775. Any of the money in bad debts was recovered by him for Peshwas. He had spent to structure the town of Jhansi and also had served the Shindes for some time. He was incharge of the wealth of the Peshwas and after the war of Panipat, he left the wealth irresponsibility, so the Peshwas were unhappy with him for some time.
He had spent considerable period in north India, so was in company in company with Antaji Mankeshwar Hinghe and was considered as an information agent. Naroshankar had built the fort of Malegaon. His grandson Gopalrao Rajebahaddur stayed in the fort till 1818. Current book reveals the work and tenure of Rajebahaddur. Author describes in detail about how the fort of Malegaon was built and in 1818 British waged war to acquire it.
