British Riyasat is available in 2 parts describing the history right from 1498 when the Portuguese sailor Vaso-da-gama forst entered the west coast of India till the expansion of the British rule all over India during 1857.
Along with the British forces, Protuguese, Dutch, French etc also started their merchandise along the west coast of India, which resulted in their business, competition among themselves and the struggle is described in these volumes. In 1857, the British East India Company also increased its relations with the political prople which made them successful in the business competition of their rival foreign countries. This inturn started their urge to expand more area of the country. To gain the rule, they fought hard against Mughals, Marathas, nawab of Awadh, Subhedar of Bengal, Nizam, Hyder Ali, Tipu Sultan.
