The Jedhe Shakavali contain entries of events mostly corroborated by other authentic contemporary sources, right from birth of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb to his siege of the Jinji fort of the Marathas
The Jedhe Karina means the history of the house of the Jedhes written in Marathi language of the people of the hilly Maval region. Jedhe Shakavali and Jedhe Karina were in original modi form but in available later some copies given by scholars are referred in this book. Even though Jedhe Shakavali consists of mainly political interface, it also includes the cultural and traditional history of Maharashtra.
The book consists of the efforts taken by the people of Maval for setting of Marathi rule, which is displayed in Marathi transliteration from original Modi script, which would be helpful for Modi learners. Few articles on Jedhe family are also translated into English for the readers who are not familiar with Marathi.
